This is from my EP "Homage To Halloween". It consists of 4 tracks each focused on specific musical ideas created by John Carpenter. It was composed after watching the trailer for the 2018 Blumhouse film. The EP was treated as a demo for the possibilities of updating the musical ideas for today's audience.

The themes are given a much more emotional, dynamic, and dramatic treatment while still amplifying the horror and suspense aspect.

This cue presents the classic high pitched 3 note dissonant motif sustain and metallic clanging heard in the original film. But that is where the similarities end. The stalking theme is presented in a newer twisted and suspenseful manner.

It was inspired by the asylum chaos scene in the trailer and since the film was not to be out for many more months, it was imagined that this could be an escape sequence.
